EVENT FUNDING

NSBE CEB wants to take this time to personally thank Mrs. Kenitra Battle, Mr. Anthony Davis, and Mrs. Monique Lake for helping our chapter with this event issue!

The students of the Eastern Michigan University chapter has been allotted funds from the office of Campus Life and Student Government to pay for the 2008 Regional Event held in Detroit. The requisition for fund allotment did not make it into the office on time on Friday November 21and as of this members have guaranteed funds for this event. The delay in funding for the event was based around the need to gather funding from the office of campus life and participate in the standard process of petitioning student government for additional resources. This issue was relayed to Anthony Davis of the DAE Thursday of November 20 2008 in an attempt to correct situation. This email was mailed to all parties and CEB board members concerning this issue. An attempt to reconcile this issue before attendance resulted in a need to make a public statement for all in an attempt to document this issue and facilitate event access. Any potential lapse in registration or funding is directly related to our chapter retooling from a former lapsed state.

This evening NSBE EMU president Otis Watson (owatson@emich.edu); called with a dilemna that his chapter has funds to attend the conference, but they may not be administered until Monday. Is there that they could still register and postpone group payment until Monday? I hope this reaches you in time, I was told to get in touch with you by Monique Lake. Thank you for your assistance in this issue.
